I finished with the Sister’s Choice flimsy and it is patiently waiting for its turn at the quilting machine, so last night I brought out the UFO Batik Waves and turned it into a WIP. Here is where it was at when I put it up.
I am making an 8 x 10 layout rather than the 10 x 12 layout that the pattern calls for, that will make it a nice lap size quilt. I counted and I think I only need 10 more four patches before I have all of the four patches for the quilt finished. I need to cut out the black joining squares and then it should just be a matter of laying it out and stitching it up. This is a free pattern on Moda Bake Shop.
That is it for me today, I hope you have much quality quilty time this week.

Black always sets off colors so well, and your batiks look beautiful! Sounds like you have a plan for moving this forward. Good luck with your progress!

Yay for UFO busting! 🙂 Looks like this one will stitch up quickly and before you know it, it will be a finished flimsy! Have a great week sewing!

Can’t wait to see the progress on your Batik Waves quilt. I really like the black background. My small quilting group currently has a four patch challenge so I’m looking for fun variations!

I love the colors you are using for this quilt. So good to get an UFO into a WIP. Soon it will be a finished top.
