Stash Report 11-22-15

Not much sewing going on at my house. We are busy packing, cleaning and basically preparing for an open house that is happening next week. I was out of town last weekend and did not get a post created. There was not any fabric used last week, nor this week. I did get some of the strips I had sewn the previous week cut into squares and hopefully I will get a few of the together to have something for tomorrow’s design wall.

Here are some of my strips. Not a very good picture, but I couldn’t find the other one.

WooHoo!! Stash Report 11/8/15

Yesterday was Quilts of Love day and I actually got to touch some fabric. Remember I told you that my DH did me a “favor” by packing all of my fabric, but that I had found a piece that he missed. Well during Quilts of Love, I finally cut into that fabric. I was cutting for this quilt called Paradise Batik Wave Quilt. I have left over batiks from Island Chain and I thought this was a good way to use them rather than putting them up. If I had put them up, my DH would have packed them too!

Here is my stash report, I used some for black for Paradise Batik Wave. Just so you know, there are only 7 stash reports left before the new year.

Fabric out  2.11 yards
Fabric in 0 yards
Fabric out ytd: 100.06 yards (yay, I hit 100!)
Fabric in ytd: 27.5 yards
Total 72.56 yards out

Happy quilting!

Binding Blitz

There is a binding blitz going on over at JulieK’s, you should go check out what is being finished over there! I got my Island Chain quilt finished and I am happy to have one crossed off of my list of quilts that need finishing.

I should have had a lot more quilts finished for this binding blitz, after all I had three months, but alas, I just have this one. I have several quilts quilted and bindings made for them but my DH decided to help me get ready for our move. In that process, he packed my package containing the binding strips. I should have taken the last couple of months and gotten the binding attached to the quilt, they could not have been separated if I had done so 🙂

I hope you are having a good week, for me today is hump day!

Happy Quilting!

It is Finished Design Wall!

I finished my Island Chain Quilt on Tuesday morning. On Tuesday afternoon, I took the quilt to my mother to go into the quilt show they have where she lives so I didn’t even have time to enjoy it 🙂 It will be coming back home on Tuesday so all will be well.

I managed to find some fabric that my darling husband had missed when he was packing my fabric. It was some black that I had set aside to wash to use in a new quilt, so I might actually have outage for next week. I just have to find time between work and packing. Oh, yeah, I forgot the company coming on Tuesday too.

There are many great designs being shown over at Patchworktimes, be sure to stop in and see them.

Happy Quilting!
